Orka Oven Mitt: Our Money Where Our Mouth Is

Kitchen Mouth - 05Kitchen Mouth - 06We want you to know we try and get as many of the kitchen gadgets we can afford at Kitchen Contraptions.com. Since most companies in the kitchen gadget space don't give out kitchen gadgets to review, we usually have to actually go to a store or order it online to see if we would put our money where our mouth is. Well - often times we get stuff and it's great and other times it's not so great. Well - this time - it's great!

We picked up a Orka Silicone oven mitt not too long ago if you remember. We have used this mitt as our mitt of choice over the past 5 months and it's a dream. We have used it on the grill, in the oven, to retrieve spoons sent to an untimely death in a giant pot, and even to catch falling cookie trays. The mitt does look like a whale - and if you remember it's made of non-pourous food grade silicone. You can put this mitt into things as hot as 500 degrees F and it won't fall apart. The thing we like the best? We've washed this thing once a week in our Bosch dishwasher and it still looks and feels new.

We can't but recommend the Orka Silicone Oven Mitt.
