Pavina hot-cold glassware

Pavinacooler We just saw this new glassware from Bodum this past weekend. There are a bunch of different models around that have an inner and outer piece of glass producing what is in effect - a clear travel or insulated mug like piece of glassware. Mouthful.

These double-walled drinking glasses made of insulated, heat-resistant Borosilicate glass keep cold drinks cold and hot ones hot. The medical-grade glass was made for lab use, and is actually lighter and thinner than traditional glass, and that's what makes them unique.

If you get a chance to pick up one, you can't imagine holding a cup of hot coffee in it but forget the hot coffee is in the inner piece of glass and not all the way to the outer piece. The Pavini shown above is for drinking beer, but it would also work for hot drinks. A set of two 12 oz. Pavina double wall coolers is $19.95 at Bodum.
