Onion Cutter

This looks like a cool device. It cuts the onion in one motion and the attached container catches the pieces and keeps away the odor. It is dishwasher safe and holds four cups.

I wasn't a big fan of this.... you had to cut the onions into small enough pieces, and then you still had to be lucky that the onions didn't jam up the thing.

I bought one of these a couple of months ago. If you use too much force the blades will cut into the plastic teeth and get bent. It wasn't long before this was relegated to the bin...

I'm disappointed to hear these negative reviews. It seems like such a good idea.

This gadget does not work. I cut the onion in half put it through and it only cut 1/2 of the piece I put in. The other half got stuck and it was an effort to pull it out. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth keeping as a meausuring cup...but I'm afraid it's going to end up in the trash soon.

You may think that this is an onion cutter only, but you are Wrong.
It's the PERFECT SALAD MAKER !
Cuts, tomatos, cucumber, peppers ... just slice the pieces to acceptable width and it'll work great, i became a salad addict once I got this thing at home.

Enjoy.

My boyfriends family uses this every night as a salad cutter to cut tomatos and cucumbers, and i used to it chop up all sorts of vegetables for stir fry. The reason you couldnt use it on onion, is because you were probably putting in the whole onion. If you cut it into slices it goes through fine :)
