Adhesive magnet strips are inexpensive and available at craft stores such as Michaels (http://www.michaels.com). It might be possible to add one to this scoop, in case you want to keep it on the side of your refrigerator or microwave.
I was really disappointed when I bought this that it turned out to be non-magentic [ I was going to stick it to the side of the microwave. Given the shape, I have yet to find a good place to store it.
