We use our waterproof digital thermometer all the time - mostly for knowing the right temperature to brew different teas at. It's also really great for knowing when that roast or turkey is done. The probe is made of a stainless-steel stem, and comes with an antibacterial storage and carrying sleeve. Temperature range of -40 to 450 degrees F so you can run the gambit on just about anything sans lava.

I am not impressed with this product in use in a commercial kitchen. I have had to send back to many of this unit to customer service it hardly makes the time worth it. I would recommend the Cooper DFP450W waterproof digital thermometer with a range of -40° to 450°F and a max temperature button, great for running through a wear-washer to make certain you are in compliance with HACAP regulations. It also has a built in temperature range tone that will beep after the set temperature is reached.
