Personal Espresso Machine
This little number is amazing. I'm not that interested in having coffee with Jennifer Jason Leigh, but I am interested in pulling out this little number at a gathering for all to view. It's just really...pretty.
Popgadget: Personal Tech for Women:
I have just in the last week come to terms with my caffeine addiction when I was observed having Jennifer Jason Leigh in Rush-like crashes when I didn't have a coffee by mid-afternoon. At one point I got desperate enough to guzzle Red Bull just so I could stand up. I wish I'd had an Aroma espresso machine instead. It's a personal espresso machine that's small enough to carry in your handbag or briefcase so you can brew a cup no matter where you are. The clear cylinder lets you watch the coffee brew as you agonizingly wait for it to finish.

A Snow Cone Maker to Rival All Others!
Summer is fast approaching. It's going to be hot - very hot. You will need a snow cone maker for:
- Keeping the kids in check
- Feeling empowered that the Snoopy Snow cone machine can be beat
- That a snow cone made by you - an adult can taste better than snow
- And most of all to enjoy eating flavored ice in the blistering heat
Rival Snow Cone Maker :
Having purchased snow cone makers for years I can attest to the simplicity and safety of this machine. The blade is tucked away not out where a child or young adult can shave off skin while using or cleaning. While all electrical appliances require adult supervision until an older age, I am really impressed with this machine for safety.

Spountin Official Page
My friend Rob pointed this out after seeing an ad very very very late at night for the Spountin. I'm not sure why they didn't name it "Spoutain" but I guess it's a total play on words. Okay - what does it do? It allows your faucet to have this thing attached to it so you can drink water off the side. Now, I'm not even sure I want to drink my water unfiltered, much less over the dirty dishes in the sink. Also - who wants their kids getting into the habit of leaning over the sink to drink?
Spountin Official Page:
Because it's so easy to install and use, you'll want to install a Spountin on practically every faucet in you home. Just pull the lever and the water squirts up, just like a water fountain. You'll love the convenience, because it lets you drink from the faucet without using those unsanitary cups. With Spountin, you'll stop wasting money and filling your garbage up with paper cups. Kids and adults alike are raving about the Spountin. Get yours now.

simplehuman KT1000 Brushed Stainless Grocery Bag Holder 6.6x15.6 :
Reducing clutter, improving organization and making everyday tasks more efficient are all part of simplehuman's core design philosophy. Their grocery bag holder is but one example of efficient use of space - it mounts inside a cabinet or on a wall, and stores plastic bags from your grocery for reuse and recycling. The top of the grocery bag holder has an easy-tuck opening; a wide area in front lets you pull-out a bag as needed. It's made of brushed stainless and comes with hardware for mounting.
Norpro Egg Rite Egg Timer :
From the "What will they think of next?" department, this 21st-century egg timer takes the guesswork out of cooking eggs. Placed in a pan with eggs, its internal sensor reacts to heat just as the eggs do. It's like being able to peer inside a cooking egg to see what's happening. The timer's red face is calibrated to indicate soft, medium, and hard--and stages in between. As the timer heats up, in precise synchronization with the eggs, its face darkens from the outer edge inward, displaying the eggs' current status on the calibrated gauge. Because the timer heats in step with the eggs, it automatically adjusts for the amount of water and number of eggs in the pan--even the altitude at which the eggs are being cooked. What a concept!

Single Purpose Egg Timers - What else would they be?
I love shiny single purpose kitchen gadgets. I've yet to pull the trigger on an egg timer, but I think this one gets me a little closer.
Shiny Shiny: Egg egg timer:
I try not to fill my cupboards with single-purpose kitchen gadgets, but it would be easy to make space for the Norpro Egg Rite Egg Timer; simply chuck it in the boil with your eggs, and it will darken to indicate the eggs' state of doneness. I am pro-anything that helps me be a culinary genius prior to the consumption of my morning coffee.
Armored Banana Carrying Case: The BananaBox
My continued coverage of Banana armor - well - continues.
GadgetMadness.com :: Armored Banana Carrying Case: The BananaBox:
Apparently the banana craze is huge in the U.K. right now, where droves of potassium-crazed beer monsters eat bananas all the time. The obvious question is: where do you keep your banana until you are ready to eat it? Just throwing it in your briefcase or backpack isn't the wisest choice, as it would certainly get smushed by your laptop (or other fruit even.)

i-pot helps elders feel less lonely - Engadget - www.engadget.com /
I can't wait until things like this in the kitchen can tell me what to buy so I can always make the things I want to make that night for dinner. Okay - maybe that's too far fetched, but the iPot does monitor the water and usage level and report it to a central data source. I guess in the future I'll just monitor when my wife is actually drinking TEA. Hmmm...why would I want to do that?
i-pot helps elders feel less lonely - Engadget - www.engadget.com / :
No, it’s not the stuff that Ellen Feiss smokes. It’s an electric kettle that keeps track of when it’s used and wirelessly sends a signal to a server with the data. Members of the service can see records of i-pot usage data, and twice a day a designated recipient gets an email with the three most recent usage times. The idea is to notify friends and relatives of a sudden change in an elderly person’s tea habits, in order to act as an early warning system in case of emergency.
Eco Egg Washing Machine : Gizmodo
If you've got a small kitchen this should do the trick. I've seen most of this stuff in Europe on travels being used due to lack of plumbing - or just being used in a flat. I have to say - I think it would also be useful for coffee mugs and such.
Eco Egg Washing Machine : Gizmodo:
The Eco Egg Washing Machine will delicately handle even your most fragile, lacey underthings, using “gentle agitation” in lieu of the traditional agitator. It’s been around since 2003, but Shiny Shiny covered it and I couldn’t resist. Definitely the most fun washing machine to pretend you’re an astronaut in, it’s available from Amazon for just $75, and can plug right into the kitchen faucet in your studio apartment. The big downside: There’s no spin-dry, so you have to hand-wring your clothes.

How to Cut...
I am always flabbergasted as well. :-) Though not gadget related - an excellent guide on cutting just about anything.
How to Cut...:
I’m always flabbergasted when I observe a cooking teacher with poor knife skills. Unfortunately, it’s all too common. I even occasionally observe a professional cook, even in France, with poor knife skills, although this is a less common occurrence. In my opinion, good knife skills are an essential component of being a good cook. And good knife skills are not particularly difficult for the average person to learn.
Good knife skills are a combination of knowledge and practice—the knowledge of which knives to use for which tasks, the knowledge of how to hold and move a knife, the knowledge of how various foods are structurally composed, and many other little bits of knowledge. But being thoroughly indoctrinated with knowledge will mean little if not accompanied by lots of practice. Like any other skill, speed and competence come with practice.

Culch Catcher from Simple Human
If you didn't know what Culch meant - well this post will inform you.

Clean trash or rubbish, such as string, paper, and cloth: “We always had a culch box around” (New Hampshire informant in DARE).
We always have tons of bags in our kitchen - plastic ones especially. This "culch" catcher really helps keep them in check.

Kate's Global Kitchen - Mango Madness
I have to say - I love to learn new things about fruit, vegatables, or meat I might be using in my kitchen. Mangos. Learn about mangos my fingers said - check out Kate's thoughts on Mangos.
Kate's Global Kitchen:
Some describe mango as a cross between a peach and an apricot, with pineapple undertones, but mango really has its own flavor, which differs considerably among its many varieties and its stages of ripeness. Depending on who you listen to, there are between 40 and 500 species of mango. This evergreen tree, a member of the cashew family, is native to India and Malaysia, unlike the pineapple and other tropical fruits which migrated from South America to Asia. The Portuguese introduced the mango to Brazil centuries ago. Today, India produces most of the world's mangoes, but it is also grown throughout the Pacific Rim, in Mexico, Brazil, Hawaii, Florida, Israel and California.

Chalk Mug!!!
I really need this. I often forget to replenish my sugar shots, to order more pods, and to refill the water tank. If I had this mug, I could also write little notes to my wife like, "I Love You", and then turn it around and on the other side, "Another cup of coffee?"
"I don't know if it's like this in your office, but where I work I rarely get the drink I ask for - unless it's a pint of course, in which case I keep a very careful eye on the delivery boy! Well, the makers of this ingenious coffee mug (£4.99) decided to glaze it with a chalk board surface allowing for easy-wipe messaging. It also comes with its own stick of chalk, so no need to ask your little niece to rip one off from school. Now you can make sure you get all the caffeine and sugar you need to help you get through the day...
