We've Moved Hosts! New KitchenContraptions.com Speed and Power!
All Blogpire websites have moved hosting facilities. Seems we're all growing so well that we outstripped the bandwidth and CPU limitations of our previous internet provider. But that's good news, since it means we've got tons of dedicated readers like you who keep coming back to our site. So thanks! And even though we've moved, we're still the same bat-time, same bat-URL.
Mmmmmmmmm . . . pancakes . . . You can warm syrup in the microwave in this double insulated dispenser. The syrup will stay warm throughout the meal and has a pointed spout for easy pouring. You can refrigerate leftover syrup in the dispenser between uses.
I'm usually not a huge fan of tacos. We ate them almost every night growing up, and I got sick of them. But lately I've been craving tacos. This "taco taxi" will hold up to three tacos for you while you apply fixings and eat them one by one. Yum.
You can't help but be a badass griller with these utensils. The set includes a turner, tongs, and a fork. They have extra long handles and a rubber grip. In addition, there is a built in bottle opener. And how can you turn down a grill set where one of the "benefits" is the "unique flame design?"
I love this cool wine decanter. It is made by Riedel and can hold up to 59 ounces of wine. Of course I give it one drunken night of wine drinking before it slips out of someone's hand and breaks.
How do you like your eggs? Poached or in omelete form? With this pan, you can choose either. The hinged omelete pan lets you cook both sides and then fold over to combine. There is also a three cup insert for poaching eggs. Breakfast for everyone!
I have a hard time believing this stoner really spits out such nice looking cherries, but even if they are a mangled mess, it will probably be easier than doing it by hand. The funnel holds up to 15 cherries, and the spring-loaded steel plunger punches the stones out.
It looks like a giant pencil sharpener, but it is for creating round and conical-shaped shavings from vegetables. Made with plastic and has a stainless steel blade.
Instead of using a fork and letting all the juices out, you can use these tongs to hold your roast in place while you cut it. It can also be used for bread. And yes, as bookofjoe says it does look like a hair clip for a 50-foot woman
Yet another cutting board made from yet another material. This one is made from Richlite, which is "an environmentally friendly natural wood fiber composite laminate." The cutting board won't damage or dull your knife blades, it is dishwasher safe, it is temperature resistant up to 350 degrees, and the nonpourous surface prohibits bacteria.
This looks like an alien spaceship, but it is apparently an ice cream maker.
You pack the outer ball with rock salt and ice; you fill the inner ball with ice cream ingredients; you roll the ball around for ten minutes or so (gently but firmly, as the warranty doesn't cover breakage from dropping or kicking) and voila, you have ice cream.
Don't remember which piece of meat was well done and which is rare? This set of skewers and markers can help. The set of five includes one of each: rare, medium rare, medium, medium done, and well done.
This One Touch Can Opener opens cans with just one touch of a button. You don't even have to hold on to the opener--it rotates around automatically. Plus it looks like a computer mouse and we all know how to use those. :-)
I hate cutting cake; I always make a huge mess and end up with wildly uneven slices. And while we are on the topic, who made up that rule about the person whose birthday it is cutting their own cake? So annoying. Anyway, this cake cutter may be able to help.

With these glasses you can pretend you are drinking a cool imported beer while you actually suck down some Bud Light. But the best part is they are made from recycled material, so you can get drunk and feel like you are saving the environment at the same time. Comes in a set of four.
If you are watching your weight, this scale does it all. I love the look of this grinder. The Ceramic Crushgrinder grinds coffee, spices, and seeds without a mess on the countertop. It has an adjustable wheel that grinds from fine to course.
If you've got some major blending to do, this looks like a serious blender.
In the same high style as its popular juicers, L'Equip has introduced the new Model 228 R.P.M. Blender with unique tachometer showing operating speed. With a 900-watt motor, this powerful blender offers variable speed control ranging from 500 to 20,000 R.P.M.s. The tachometer is embedded in the brushed metal uniquely shaped block base. The blender features a commercial-grade stainless steel blade, heavy-duty polycarbonate pitcher, and smoothie stick and funnel cone.
If you are like my husband and hate to eat corn directly off the cob, this little gadget strips the corn off the ear. The cutter expands and adjusts to fit all sizes of ears.
I know this isn't anything very exciting, but the nice weather we have been having makes me think of summer, and summer makes me think of iced tea, and iced tea makes me think of glass pitchers. So there you have it. This set of two pitchers fits in fridge doors to save space in the fridge.

I keep warning against it, but they keep trying to make our gadgets smarter. Those crazy kids at MIT are working on an intelligent spoon that is equipped with sensors that measure temperature, acidity, salinity, and viscosity. The spoon can then tell you what the next step should be--for example, it tells the user if there is not enough salt in the brine prepared to make pickles.
I love artichokes. Love them. Of course they are just a receptacle for this mayonnaise/mustard/garlic/horseradish sauce I make with the artichokes. Anyway, I usually just steam ours in the steamer, but these artichoke steaming racks look pretty cool. And if you turn the rack over, it can act as a serving dish.
If you love to garnish (and really, who doesn't?), then this seven piece set has everything you need. It includes a potato peeler, Parisian cutter, butter curler, double melon baller, apple corer, lemon zester, and channel knife and comes with a storage bag.
If you've got some aggression to get out and need a place to store your kitchen knives, this is the product for you. It comes with five stainless steel knives--a paring knife, bread knife, carving knife, and large and small chopping knives. The blades are protected in the rear by a clear platic sleeve.
This grater doesn't look very flashy or modern, but it seems very practical. It has six sides, including one side that is see-through measuring tool. The grater holds up to 4 1/2 cups of grated goodness, and the bottom removes for easy emptying.
It is so hard to get the smell of onions and garlic off your hands. I can wash my hands two or three times and have the smell still linger. This stainless steel egg claims to be the answer. It supposedly removes odors from your hand when you pick it up.
This looks like a scary implement from an evil doctor's office, but it is actually a handy device for injecting marinade or sauce into your meat before cooking it.
We make a fair amount of oven fried chicken in our house, so this would really come in handy. The three plastic trays hook together, are dishwasher safe, and stack flat.
I love little bowls. These little bowls are silicone, so the ingredients won't stick to them, and they are flexible, so you can pinch them to get the ingredients out.
From the "it's about time" file, this angled measuring cup from OXO allows you to read measurement markings by looking straight down in the cup. So you no longer have to put stuff in and then check the side, then take some out, then put some more in, etc. etc.
This stainless steel cheese slicer adjusts to three different sizes to allow you to adjust the thickness of your cheese (or chocolate) slices. The slicer also has a soft, rubber handle with a ridged thumb spot for a no-slip grip.
