Salter makes all kinds of kitchen scales. This one measures wet and dry ingredients with no need for a separate measuring jug. It converts between milliliters and fluid ounces. The sensitivity is 1/8-oz./2-grams.
I don't understand how this makes it easier to keep the cup and the saucer together in the cupboard, but it sure does look funny. The handle of the ceramic cup fits into a hole in the bottom of the saucer.
I don't understand my husband's love for poached eggs, but the poachpod would allow him to poach one egg at a time. You poach the egg in the silicone pod. When the egg is ready, flip the pod inside out.
I haven't featured a cool glass in awhile, so here you go. This whisky tumbler has a slight bend in it. It comes in a set of six, and you can get a variety of colors.
I'm intrigued by the spikes on the lid for self-basting:
Staub’s signature piece La Cocotte (French oven) is used by chefs around the world for its superior heat distribution and retention, durability and beauty. Tight-fitting lids have spikes inside to ensure continuous self-basting. Doesn’t need to be seasoned.
Flexibility in a spatula could be a good thing as long as you aren't flipping something heavy. This flexible spatula has a slight angle and a tapered edge. It is made with nylon, so it is good for nonstick pans.
Most pizza peels I've seen are wooden and bulky. I never could get our wooden one to work well. This has an aluminum surface and a wood handle that folds down for easy storage.
I have a KitchenAid stand mixer, and one of my biggest complaints is how difficult it is to add ingredients while the mixer is going. So I was very excited to receive this Mix-In-Guide. I believe my mixer came with some sort of shield, which was so useless, I don't even know where it is anymore. But the shield didn't help when I was trying to add flour to the mixer while it was going.
I tried out the Mix-In-Guide while making cookies last weekend, and it worked great. First of all, it is easy to fit on the bowl. Second, the ingredients slid right into the bowl instead of getting all over the counter. Finally, because it is stainless steel, nothing stuck to it, so cleanup was easy.
This knife stand is really cool looking. It can either be hung on the wall or placed on the counter, and has a continuous knife slot at the top. It is made of tempered-glass, stainless steel and beech wood.
These ice cream makers have a classic look and seem very sturdy.

This convection oven is cool looking and practical. It has 2-tiers, so you can cook two things at once. It also has an enamel interior and a rotisserie spit.
I've been seeing this around forever, but for some reason I thought I had already covered it. Who doesn't want a chocolate fountain? The heated base melts the chocolate. It comes with 4lbs of Sephra Premium Dark Fondue Chocolate, 6 color-coded metal fondue skewers, and a fondue testing funnel.
John Boos makes some really nice kitchen carts. This has a top of northern hard rock maple and a stainless steel base. It has four storage drawers and wheels, so you can roll it where you need it.
Zojirushi 3-Cup Rice Cooker and Warmer, Stainless Steel
We keep looking at rice cookers. I don't know that this one is any better than any others, but I like that it is stainless steel. And isn't how it looks really the most important thing? :-)

Multi-menu selections using micro-computerized Fuzzy logic technology control the temperature for efficient cooking of many different types of rice including white, sushi, porridge, brown, and quick cooking. If I was ambitious enough to make my own baby food, I might need this.
It has a stainless steel inner bowl that is ideal for hot foods and will not stain, and includes 3 stainless steel grinding discs for fine, medium and coarse textures. Use the fine disc for homemade jellies, creamy sauces and baby food, the medium disc for applesauce and vegetable soups, and the coarse disc for mashed potatoes and chunkier sauces. The Food Mill has a unique release button that makes it easy to exchange discs and disassemble for storage. Three non-slip legs hold the Food Mill securely over bowls and pots up to 11 inches in diameter, keeping it out of your food. The legs also fold for easy storage. The soft, non-slip handle and knob ensure comfort when gripping the Food Mill and turning the blade. All parts are dishwasher-safe.
These knives have zirconium oxide blades, which supposedly resist corrosion and stay sharp for months without sharpening. The set includes a 6 inch santoku and a 3 inch paring knife.
It is supposed to be 70 degrees today, so I am pretending it is summer. Now, I don't like Jimmy Buffet or margaritas, but I do like other frozen drinks.
Far more than just an ordinary blender, the unit automatically shaves ice and blends up to 32 ounces of a favorite frosty drink, all at the touch of a button. Simply pour the ingredients into the glass jar and add ice in the top reservoir. Select how many drinks to make, and the machine automatically mixes the right proportion of ice with the ingredients. And the appliance actually shaves the ice, which is the key to delivering better drink consistency--no more chunks or watery drinks. Other highlights include simple front-access controls, a stable footprint, an easy-to-clean design, and a generous handle and drip-free spout on the glass jar for graceful serving.
The benefit of this griddle is that you don't need to use a lot of oil to cook with it. It is nonstick and compact--just 11 inches. Just looking at it makes me want pancakes. . .
This mandoline has a zirconium oxide blade with four different widths--.5 mm, 1.3 mm, 2 mm and 3 mm--so you don't have to switch out blades. It supposedly stays sharp ten times longer than a steel blade.
This glass cake stand is kind of funky. It has an intricate reverse lace pattern in black. Of course you will have to eat a lot of the cake to see the pattern.
If you are going to drink wine from a pitcher, you definitely need big bowls of pasta and large pieces of crusty bread to go with it. Of course you could also use the pitcher for water, iced tea, etc. It comes in a 1 and 2 liter sizes.
These look like some sturdy mixing bowls. These set of three bowls has rubber non-slip bottoms that allow the bowl to sit firmly on the counter. The bowls also have a wide, angled spout. Each set includes one 1.5 quart bowl, one 3 quart bowl, and one 5 quart bowl.
Coming soon to a retailer near you is the Bagelpod. The funkiest looking bagel cutter, I've seen. You place the bagel in the middle, close the sides, and pull the handle.
I never use my food processor because it is such a pain to drag it out of the cupboard and set it up. I need this handheld food processor. It grates, slices, or shreds ingredients directly into the bowl or pan with the touch of a button on the handle.
I'm not at all creative, so I've never been a fan of do-it-yourself pottery, but this is kind of cool. This bowl comes with a special pen that you can write on the bowl with. Once the bowl is fired in the oven, it is dishwasher and microwave safe.
