The unit's extra-large 3-pound food capacity provides ample space for evenly frying everything from delicious French fries and onion rings to mozzarella sticks or doughnuts.

Designed to withstand the most demanding home use, this two-slice toaster blends the durability of stainless steel and die-cast metal with professional-quality performance, producing wonderfully consistent toast slice after slice. Each of the toaster's extra-long, extra-wide 1-inch toasting slots can easily handle the thickest bagels, specialty breads, and toaster pastries. On the inside sits an electronic heat sensor that controls the toasting, accounting for the unit's unmatched consistency of toasting. We're pretty big fans of leaving our Roomba in the kitchen, and letting it clean up the mess. Now with the new iRobot Roomba 500 series, it looks like our little robot vacuum won't get tangled up in our kitchen rug. With dramatically improved navigation, cleaning coverage, vacuum pickup, and particle filtration, the Roomba 530 vacuuming robot picks up amazing amounts of dirt and debris with the simple touch of a button. The powerful unit features innovative spinning side brushes that grab dirt and dust from corners and along wall edges, as well as two high-speed, counter-rotating brushes that pick up pet hair, cat litter, food crumbs, and other debris from floors. The vacuuming robot returns to its self-charging Home Base to dock and recharge between cleaning cycles or when the battery starts to run low. Its advanced power system consists of a fast-charging battery, a three-hour charger, and a power source that supercharges the unit for up to 120 minutes of continuous cleaning, covering about three to four average-size rooms on a single charge.
We'll have to see if we can get one of the new 500 series and make our kitchen floors even cleaner and a little more futuristic.
Fall will be here before we know it. Time to start thinking about soup. These double handled porcelain soup bowls can be used in the oven, microwave, or on the table.
Now that you have a good crop of vegetables or fruit from your garden, it is time to start canning. This pot can act as either a pressure cooker or a canner. It has a rack that fits in the pot to keep jars up off the bottom, so that liquid can circulate underneath. The cooker has a lid that locks down during canning or cooking and an inner sealing ring to keep the steam in. There is also an overpressure plug that will let off steam if it builds up excessively and a pressure dial gauge, so that pressure can be kept constant during canning.
I love a breakfast sandwich. Could be my favorite kind of sandwich. This cooker allows you to make the eggs in bacon in the microwave while your English muffin toasts. The set includes two circular egg sections with two removable egg lifters and one rectangular meat section with removable meat grill tray.
Review: Zarafina Tea Maker Suite - Make Perfect Tea One Pot at a Time
We've just spent the last 3 weeks using the Zarafina Tea Maker suite. It's been a very interesting addition to our already large coffee and tea habit here at KitchenContraptions.com. What's surprising about the Zarafina Tea Maker is how consistent the cup of tea you brew can be if you have a tea brewing appliance like the Zarafina Tea Maker.
You get a serving tray, the main tea maker, the tea pot, two tea cups,
and some serving utensils.
What's different about the Zarafina tea maker? The Zarafina tea maker has a unique brewing chamber which allows you to observe the process, variable settings that allow you to control the strength, brewing time and temperature and a built in diffuser that keeps your tea free of leaves whether you are using tea bags or loose tea. It is designed distinctively to enrich your tea experience and give you a perfect consistent cup of tea every time.
As I have said before, I like my popcorn really greasy, but it isn't very healthy. If you are watching your weight, air popped popcorn can be a good snack. This air popper pops up to 18 cups in about 2 1/2 minutes. If you do want to add butter, the measuring cup on top is also a butter melter.
I have a great corn and tomato salad recipe, but it takes so long to strip the corn, that I hardly ever make it. This looks like it would make the job much easier. It looks like it is easy to hold, and it has an attached container that stores about one cob's worth of corn.
You may laugh at this gadget, but I actually got an infected finger when a piece of stem got caught under my fingernail. This would have saved me some pain. This has a finger grip that slides around your finger for extra control.
Keep Food Fresh at College with the Sanyo SR-3770S Counter-High Refrigerator
If you're heading back to school and want a larger option for that "mini-fridge", this counter-high refrigerator from Sanyo is a good bet. It has stainless steel doors and the door storage can hold a 2 liter bottle of soda - perfect for dorm party filled nights. It even has a full width freezer plus a crisper to make the interior package pretty feature filled.
Cook What You Want with the Sharp R-305KS Microwave Oven
We use our microwave oven way more than we ever would imagine. There isn't a lot of cooking going on at dinner time, but at lunch we microwave tamales, riblets, and other microwave goodness. The kids also love the microwave, and we're pretty sure per capita our household is the chicken nugget king of the world. We like this Sharp microwave - it has 6 cook options, 6 reheat options, and 4 defrost options which should just about make it do anything you need. Minute Plus sets the oven at high with a single touch, and the clock is easy to read. This should also make a little higher end purchase option for those heading back to school.
What I like about this herb processor is that it has a peeling blade for peeling cloves of garlic. After you peel the garlic, you can switch to a chopping blade. You can also add oil and vinegar and mix up salad dressing in it.
This little storage container has several compartments, so you can prepare food ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator or freezer. Each tray has easy-view fill lines for two measurement sizes and holds 32 oz total. The set includes three trays: ½-cup tray —8 spaces of ½ cup each (with fill lines for ¼ cup measurements), 1-cup tray —4 spaces of 1 cup each (with fill lines for ½ cup measurements), and 2-cup tray —2 spaces of 2 cups each (with fill lines for 1 cup measurements).
Yet another avocado implement. You can't eat too many avocados or have too many ways to get the avocado out of its skin. This has a stainless steel scoop with a silicone handle.
I'm thinking we need a wine cellar to keep our favorite wine always at the perfect temperature. This cellar holds 11 bottles and has a thermoelectric cooling technology that eliminates vibrations to the wine. It has eight temperature presets for both red and white wines.
This looks awesome. It stores your grocery list using voice recognition software. You record whatever you need into the machine. It alphabetizes the list and prints it out when you are ready to go to the store. It also can keep errands too. It can go on the refrigerator door or be wall mounted.
Smelling rotting meat is not something we like to do. You can stop the nose abuse with the electronic meat sniffer called Sensor Fresh. It measures bacteria count to determine if meat is safe for consumption. So technically it doesn't smell the meat or item, but it's darn close.
Another ice cream machine. Nothing fancy, but making your own ice cream is a good summertime activity. This is a fully automatic machine that makes ice cream in 20 to 30 minutes. The mixing spatula supposedly quickly combines ingredients, and it has a feeder bowl for adding ingredients without interrupting the freezing process.
Open everything with one device. This opener helps you open six different types of containers: bags, safety seals, pull tabs, bottle caps, bottle tops and jar lids.
This chopper looks great, and it is supposedly very easy to use. The bowl holds three cups worth of chopped veggies, fruits, cheese, nuts, or bread. If you don't everything you've chopped the base doubles as a storage lid. The handle is ergonomically designed to be used with one hand.
