This could be a good safety device to have in addition to a fire extinguisher. The StoveTop FireStop is a automatic fire prevention device. It magnetically rests above a stove. If a flame touches it, it automatically dispenses a non-toxic, fire suppressing dry powder. The device is not set off my smoke or normal cooking heat.

We're more of a stovetop popcorn kind of crew, but we think we might need this for less mess and more popping. Claiming to be the Top of Pops - this popcorn maker with motorized stirring mechanism for better popping has special vents that let moisture escape to keep popcorn crisp. We like the removable nonstick cooking plate with cool-touch handles, and the entire setup is dishwasher-safe minus the bottom.

I thought I had heard of every method of cooking, but this is something I hadn't heard about. This appliance uses special parchment paper pouches to hold in juices and keep food moist. You place the food in the parchment pouch and then place it in the grill. For most items it takes around 3 to 8 minutes to cook. The appliance comes with 48 parchment pouches and cooking tongs.

Menu has a pretty cool idea with rolling salt and pepper shakers. Who hasn't been at the dinner table, and been asked to pass the salt. Now when passing the salt you can simply roll it on over. Built from anodized aluminum with synthetic wheels, we recommend getting the pair when they come available this spring to make your meals fun.

With sleek lines, and a blue LCD display - this toaster looks like it would fit perfectly aboard any ship in Star Trek. It has a power range up to 1,200 watts which means warp drive power, along with fast toast. It will sit you back $120 for all the power and looks, but we expect it's worth it.
