This could be a good safety device to have in addition to a fire extinguisher. The StoveTop FireStop is a automatic fire prevention device. It magnetically rests above a stove. If a flame touches it, it automatically dispenses a non-toxic, fire suppressing dry powder. The device is not set off my smoke or normal cooking heat.
