John Boos Cucina Diner Mobile Warming

Jbcuce50-1Am

This unit is manufactured to commercial standards and can be transferred from one room to another for light duty cooking, while being used as a serving cart provided with room to hold additional ingredients, pre-prepped foods, dips and sauces. Though we long for a kitchen or patio large enough to use such a cart, maybe someday?

Micro Kitchen

"Combo kitchen, bathroom, storage unit.
Dutch design firm i29 rebuilt a compact (read really small) apartment in Amsterdam to create an "optimal spatial experience", making more out of less. The central feature is an elegant combination kitchen, bathroom, and storage unit situated in the heart of the home. Not unlike the unit found in Abito."

"Sheer" Kitchen

sheer_kitchen_sphere_jan_05.jpg
It truly is a thing of beauty. However - I think you're going to need a 2.5 million dollar loft to install it into.

"Most kitchens are literally built around the user with counter tops, appliances and sink surrounding the user. Sheer invites you and yours to surround it. You prepare and cook as you go around the lower half of the sphere (the upper half is a ventilated hood). The lower half includes a sink, plate rack, cutlery storage, ceramic glass cooktop, refridgerated bottle baskets and a pull-out table. It's made mostly of stainless steel or carbonium fibre and the hood is semitransparent metacrylic. Via La Coctelera Artilugios, via Architecural Record."

VÄRDE Free Standing Kitchen from IKEA

31020 Xxxxxxxx S6
After first seeing these on Apartment Therapy, I have to admit the idea of having a free standing kitchen sounds amazing. Put in the plumbing - the sink stuff - but let the other stuff in the kitchen be flexible and on wheels. I'm in love.

"VÄRDE is one smart kitchen.Since it consists entirely of freestanding units and shelves, you can add, arrange and change it to fit your personal needs. The solid birch, stainless steel and white accents give a stylish, warm look."

Ikea Free Standing Kitchen

As my friend Mike said, "This is truly the ultimate kitchen contraption. Isn't it?"

"If you are looking for a mini kitchen, go to (none other than) Ikea. They have a $900 unit that combines cabinet, small fridge (hidden behind cabinet doors), a two burners sealed cooktop, stainless countertop and sink, and faucet. A bargain at that price, and available in Seattle Ikea at least, if not nationwide."

Stainless Steel Portable Stovetop

Stainless steel gas stovetop. Can't afford that gigantic Wolf stainless steel gas range? Japan's Iwatani makes this butane-powered, portable, single burner in stainless with Piezo-electric ignition for matchless lighting. Bring your "gas range" with you with the included carrying case. Iwatani makes a lot of different models, see more in the extended post.
