Kitchen Cutlery Clock

We simply don't feature enough cool kitchen clocks, but this one from Archie McPhee & Co. is perfect for any kitchen or even a diner. At 13" round. the clock requires one AA battery, and features spoons and forks around an inner clock. Just think - you can say - hey it's spoon O'Clock instead of high noon. Nice.

Cake Pop Book Gives Advice and Recipes on How to Make this Treat

Cake pops are all the rage, and this amazing book with lots of pictures will show you how to make over 100 treats. They are arranged in 6 different decorating styles, and give you ideas on cake pops for all the holidays. We've been enjoying making some ourselves, and currently have about 6 different styles in our repertoire. This book should broaden our cake pop horizons, and allow us to finally make that cake on a cake pop top we've been missing.

LED Classic Three Light Puck Under Cabinet Light Kit from the CounterMax

We don't even have a kitchen lighting category after 7 years here at Kitchen Contraptions, yet lighting in our kitchen has been a constant thing on our minds. We recently replaced our flood lights with LEDs so we have been now looking to get those same lower watt savings in our under cabinet lights.

The CounterMax MX-LD Collection led discs mount easily under any cabinet and can link up to 30 discs without additional hardware using MXInterLink2. The LED disc uses only 1.7 watts (our flood lights use 10.5 watts versus our the older 65 watt per), and each kit includes three light down lighting pucks.

We're going to see if these fit the bill, and also look out for other under cabinet solutions. What's interesting is you could get 10 of these kits and string them together making a pretty good run at one side of our kitchen and the other using about 10 kits.

Williams-Sonoma Butcher Shop - Buy Premium Meat Online

We had no idea until this morning that Wiliams-Sonoma now has an online Butcher Shop featuring Kobe beef, black hog, and crazy wild boar pork chops. Did your mouth just start watering? Ours did. We've yet to try it and things are not cheap but then again this is a butcher shop designed for the upscale and those important moments in your meat future.

The players in the butcher shop include:

  • Fermin -

This luxurious Kobe-style beef from Oregon is prized for its buttery texture and beautiful marbling. A customized diet and selective breeding produce this very special meat, hailed as "the Rolls-Royce of beef."

  • Double R Ranch Co. - Tender and juicy with a robust flavor, this exceptional beef is produced by a cattle company recognized for its commitment to animal well-being, environmental stewardship and the preservation of small family farms.
  • Snake River Farms - Kurobuta, or "black hog," is the Japanese term for the Berkshire breed. Like its Japanese counterpart, Snake River Kurobuta pork is deep in color and streaked with marbling that makes it remarkably sweet, juicy and tender.
  • Yamaya - Descended from Spain's wild boars, pasture-raised Iberico hogs are fattened on acorns (bellotas), creating deep red, well-marbled pork with an intense flavor balanced by nutty sweetness.

We'll let you know if we order some for the grill this summer. We love some of the lamb and other good stuff we've seen so far.

Old Stone Oven 14-Inch by 16-Inch Baking Stone Makes Great Pizza

This pizza stone duplicates crispy pizzeria-style crust because of the firebrick construction which offers superior heat retention and distribution. The flat surface releases pizza or bread quickly and easily, and the durable texture resists cracking caused by high temperatures. We love the fact you can use this on a grill or in the oven, and if you want the smoky flavor using on the grill will be your best bet for that fire grilled pizza taste. We hope to get one of these over the summer and then make some fire grilled pizzas with a drink or two of sangria. YUM!

OGGZ Color Morphing Accent Lighting for Your Kitchen

We love kitchen accents (our Flip Flap is still going strong), and think this color changing rechargeable egg will make a nice addition to our window sill of fun kitchen stuff. The OGGZ is completely rechargeable, comes with its own recharging station, and the OGGZ light changes colors and morphs on its own. You can place the light anywhere you want, and it's also great for the dining table, parties, bedrooms etc.
