Our utensils are so mismatched, sometimes I think I would just like to get rid of them all and buy a matched set like this. The set includes a ball whisk, a turner, a Chinese turner, and a slotted spoon. It also comes with a wire utensil basket.

It looks like a machete, but it's a spatula specially designed for flipping crepes, pancakes, and eggs. The blade supposedly slides under the crepe easily and you flip easily with a twist of the wrist. Sounds to me like something that might take some practice, though.

If you are always afraid of chopping off your fingers, when you are cutting fruits and vegetables, this mandoline is all about safety. The mandoline comes with six blades. A safety button locks in the blades, so they can't move out of place. The food holder slides up and down on the mandoline’s grooved rail, which keeps the motion controlled and on track. Food stays secured with the food guide, which pushes food through the holder and grips it with its sharp teeth.
