The Urban Cultivator is an enclosed hydroponic system designed for growing herbs and smaller vegetables indoors. A computer unit controls water, light cycles, humidity, and air circulation. All you need to do each week is add some fertilizer, and you need to eat the greens when they're ready to harvest of course.

Sure - we have lots of bottle openers - but not a lightsaber bottle opener for the kitchen. If you need to bring out that inner chef and jedi in yourself, pop open a cool one while cooking with probably the coolest bottle opener this side of Naboo.

The Aerogarden has been a huge success, so there was bound to be some competition. Prepara has introduced another countertop garden. This planter sprouts almost any seed and doesn't require any soil. You put your seeds in the spounge and the planter automatically dispenses nutrients. It also has a rotating grow surface for maximum light exposure.

We've been wondering what we would do with all of the tomatoes we've been growing towards the end of the Summer, and now we have our answer - JUICE EM! We've always got more than we can eat in a salad and this tomato juicer and strainer might do the trick.
Available in multiple sizes and configurations to meet the needs of restaurants, caterers, working farms and home canning, OMRA vegetable mills remove the seeds and skin from a variety of fruits and vegetables, yielding smooth puree ideal for soups, sauces and preserves. The OMRA tomato machines are wildly popular and one of the only brands of Italian made "spremipomodoro" available in the US. These things can turn out up to 800 pounds per hour of vegetable puree madness, so we think we'll be all set at the end of the Summer when tomato picking begins.

I love this kitchen herb garden. The herbs can either stack or be placed flat on the counter. You can also use the dishes for candles instead of herbs.

The pro version of the Aerogarden features stainless steel accents. What is an Aerogarden? The AeroGarden is a revolutionary kitchen appliance - growing abundant harvests of garden-fresh lettuce, herbs and tomatoes year-round, right on the kitchen counter. We recently saw the Aerogarden in person and we're impressed with the quality o the unit and the herbs being grown.

The AeroGarden has turned out to be a very popular item. Now there are many seeds available for the AeroGarden.
The AeroGarden Seed Kits feature the "Plug 'N Grow" Bio-dome Seed System. Each pod has a dome that creates a perfect, mini-greenhouse environment for young seedlings. The pod label helps optimize humidity for germination and identifies your plants. Inside is the pre-seeded grow sponge which balances the amount of water and air the young seedling receives. Each Seed Pod's placement in the AeroGarden is mapped inside the box. Each kit has its own nutrient tablets bagged and clearly marked for use in the correct order. These time-release, nutrient tablets contain everything: all the micro and macro nutrients each plant needs, plus seaweed and a patented secret ingredient that keeps the pH (acidity) of your tap water in the perfect range for growing plants.

Grow your own lemons in your kitchen. This lemon tree is planted in a terra cotta pot and supposedly produces meyer lemons all year round. Meyer lemons are sweeter and less acidic than regular lemons. I like the idea of it, but I do not have a green thumb and would kill the plant in days.
