I'm not a fan of the margarita, but many others are. This frozen-drink machine makes smoothies, daiquiris, or margaritas. The unit is designed to ensure that the right amount of shaved ice and drink mix get proportionally added. It also melts ice channels into a rear water reservoir to prevent watered-down margaritas and frozen drinks. It comes with a 36-ounce glass pitcher with helpful liquid measurements on the side.

Last week was tough for chopping onions, garlic, celery, and anything else we could think of cramming into the turkey stuffing. The onions were especially tough - I'm really tired of seeing everyone cry as they cook, and in the middle of it - our old chopper just wasn't "chopping it'. We found this Dualit Mini Chopper, and with the large 17-1/2-ounce capacity we think this mini chopper could fulfill the bill.
This mini chopper features a powerful 260-watt motor and a dual-setting option for high- or low-speed chopping. Its tough stainless-steel blades stay sharper for longer and work efficiently when chopping vegetables and herbs, or when preparing foods such as baby purees, spice pastes, and pestos. In addition, the durable unit comes equipped with a safety lid with an interlocking design and drizzle hole to ensure the best results when making mayonnaise and dressings.

What we like is to have our cake and eat it too, and this hybrid microwave oven is a combination of microwave and conventional ovens. The "SolarDOM" is the latest and smallest of this hybrid oven craze. The SolarDOM is a top, capable of being placed on a counter like other microwaves. The compact light oven uses a Mega Heater System, which utilizes light waves created by a combination of different type of heaters - Halogen, Sheath and Ceramic, each with different heating depth ensuring that food is cooked evenly. Heat is circulated more efficiently because of the round cavity and the light reflector, which concentrates light waves on the food. All of these features are going to set you back a cool $550+ bucks.

Way back in 2005, we featured an Automatic Donut Maker. Little did we know the Automatic Donut Maker would be such a hit, and people to this day write in comments and send us email weekly on where to get one. Well - the trouble with the Automatic Donut Maker was - it was only available for commercial business.
Well - thank god for the Dough-Nu-Matic. The name may sound a bit strange, but the unit makes mini-donuts, and is designed for the home. The device contains an enclosed oil fryer, which will keep the clean up to a minimum, and it only costs $129.99 to make dough-nuts or donuts in less than 6 minutes. I can see myself with my mouth open at one end having mini-doughnuts pour in.

Though we've been using our Zarafina Tea Maker Suite here at Kitchen Contraptions, the TriniTea Tea Maker from Adagio looks pretty amazing as well. Like the Zarafina, the TriniTEA simplifys the preparation of loose tea. You can say goodbye to kettles, teapots and over-steeped cups. The TriniTEA heats water, steeps leaves, and keeps tea warm so you can enjoy tea all day long. Variable timer and temperature control lets you adjust the strength of an infusion, ensuring a perfect cup of tea each time.

I had a Fry Daddy growing up. I'm pretty sure it got more use than any other cooking gadget I remember. We used to make perfectly fried chicken fingers, fillets of smallmouth bass, and french fries (which I would later put maple syrup on - YUM).
The Presto Fry Daddy Deep Fryer can handle all of these frying issues and this family-sized fryer makes four big servings with just four cups of oil. The proper frying temperature is automatically maintained, and the handy scoop stirs, separates, lifts, drains, and serves. My mom would be so proud I'm featuring this...I miss you so Fry Daddy - Mommy.
