We're always on the lookout for a long toaster, and this digital from T-Fal fits the bill. The bagel function toasts the inside and gently warms the outside, and the defrost function makes one step toasting of frozen breads easy. The digital controls allow you to repeat the proper settings each time you use it -- no more guessing, and the countdown timer lets you know how long it will be before the toast is ready. The extra-wide, self-adjusting slots are ideal for any bread thickness and ensure even toasting every time.

We'd really like to try this toaster oven before declaring it the best, but this toaster oven earned the highest rating from the Hammacher Schlemmer Institute because it quickly cooked chicken, pizza, and cookies and maintained a constant cooking temperature.
The Best model has nine settings--the most of any oven--designed for specific foods (pizza, bagel, cookies). It suggests ideal cooking temperatures and times for each and automatically adjusts the heat for optimal results. The 1800-watt oven broils, cooks with convection, and defrosts at the touch of a button.

We live and die each morning on how great our toast is and how many smaller dinner items we can cook for the kids our toaster oven, so we're always on the lookout for a multi-function toaster oven that's not too expensive and can do all of our toaster tasks. This large-capacity 1200-watt 4-slice toaster oven can bake, broil, bagel, toast, and keep-warm food. It is adjustable to a temperature up to 450 degrees F, and also has a 30-minute timer, slide-out crumb tray, and baking pan. The thing that's great about toaster oven is how eco-friendly it is compared to doing similar cooking tasks in your larger oven. Get one and you'll never look back.

We love things in the kitchen that add instead of subtract to the food being eaten, and these Toast Tattoos fit the bill. You can express your love or send a birthday wish with the undeniable romantic appeal of toast. Just press this plastic I Love You or Happy Birthday message with the Toast Tattoos into a piece of bread, then put your bread in the toaster on a dark setting. The resulting toast will be emblazoned with the proclamation of your infatuation or your birthday wish. We think long term the "I love you" will probably get the most use in the early mornings.

With sleek lines, and a blue LCD display - this toaster looks like it would fit perfectly aboard any ship in Star Trek. It has a power range up to 1,200 watts which means warp drive power, along with fast toast. It will sit you back $120 for all the power and looks, but we expect it's worth it.

The Toast One concept toaster flips upside down to release the toast right onto your plate. It seems like this idea should have been played out at some point in some toaster, but to the best of our knowledge it hasn't. The downside to this design is it only does one slice at a time. That's not too bad, as we only usually eat one slice at a time anyways.

We've been using our toaster oven a lot more since the whole energy crisis has been heating up. We thought this 6-slice toaster oven with convection technology for faster cooking that has 2 rack positions looks like a good oven if you don't have one already. The 150- to 450-degree F thermostat should be able to dial up the correct temperature for whatever you want to cook, and the 60-minute timer with auto shut-off makes it almost like your big oven with a kitchen timer.
We believe we've saved just north of $43 bucks last month by cooking more with smaller appliances, and even if the savings are less - they're still savings.

The ikon Kettle & Toaster has a unique nested design - designed with compact kitchen spaces in mind.
