We finally got to see one of these beauties in person and have to say - WE WANT ONE BADLY. The Back to Basics egg cooker and toaster will have a homemade egg McMuffin on your plate in under 5 minutes.
The unit can be used solely as a full functioning toaster, or it can simultaneously toast bread, poach or steam-scramble an egg, and warm a pre-cooked slice of meat--or any combination of these three functions--to make the ultimate breakfast sandwich at home in just four minutes.

I just saw this new Krups oven over at my friend David's place. It has a really unique clean new look about it and I have to say I was a little jealous. Even though I have a toaster convection oven myself, this one looked like it was from the future and is a bit more stylish.
The Krups toaster convection oven has 1600 watts of power alternating between top and bottom quartz heating elements, this toaster oven toasts, broils, bakes, reheats, and more. Now, it won't handle cooking a chicken like my current toaster oven, but it will make a mean english muffin. For toasting, the oven offers nine levels or browning with a countdown timer, and for broiling, it uses the top elements only, with high and low settings.

I need an upscale toaster oven for my kitchen me thinks! This one from Amadana is sweet. Amadana is a Japanese company that well - just makes beautiful stuff so finding these in the US may be tough. I think I need to move to Japan or have Japan move to me.

I can't say enough good things about this toaster oven. The controls are a breeze - the toast it makes is amazing. You can put the rack at three different levels and it does a hell of a good job making a bagel.
The first thing I did when it arrived? Well - I roasted a 4.5lb chicken in it and it only took and hour! The chicken came out amazing. Just amazing. I love this thing. I can't wait for the summer when I don't fire up the giant oven and can use this instead for those baking jobs.
Also - it just looks great. We've got a mostly black granite/maple kitchen with white walls and stainless everything. The toaster looks and IS very professional.
I will keep posting nuggets of information as we find out more the toaster can do and how it performs over the next 6 months. Nice work Cuisinart!
Update: It appears this model can be found under 165 - for a white oven, and 175 for black and 175BC for brushed chrome.

I'm buying this toaster oven. I'm not even going to tell my wife. I need a toaster oven that I love and cherish - not that old horrible black & decker - run the damn bagel through twice and burn it oven. I just can't use that thing again. Wish me luck. Review coming after I receive it, open it, use it, and explain to my wife why I needed it so.
"Compact and loaded with electronic controls, this 0.5-cubic-foot countertop convection toaster oven/broiler has room to toast four slices, roast a 4-1/2-pound chicken, bake a 9-inch pie, or broil several steaks. Because it circulates hot air, the 1500-watt oven cooks faster and more uniformly...
